I have been living in Gran Canaria for a number of years now. Learning the language was an interesting and exciting experience and one that I am glad I have done. Speaking Spanish enables me to completely enjoy where I live, and speaking with the locals I get to look at the island, and indeed the world through their eyes also. 

I am able to understand how they see the problems Gran Canaria is facing, plus what they consider are the solutions.

Having spent most of my years here working in and around the tourism sector, listening to the tourists, business owners and other residents I have built my own thoughts, and opinions of Gran Canaria. Right or wrong as they mey be, and I use them to influence the content and the slant of all the articles that I write.

Agree with me or not, that is your prerogative, but I fervently hope that as a result of the words I write that a good healthy debate on the issues I raise, will ensue.
